It is a Dell issue with the docking station.
It is ugly!!

LAPTOP

Disk hda on IDE0
Cdrom hdc on IDE1

LAPTOP in STATION

Disk hda on IDE0
Disk hdc (dock station) on IDE1
Cdrom hdg on IDE3

The mix of cardbus and station interfaces..........
GAD!!!!!
