Brent,
You analysis is 100% correct. Due to the number of changes
in the scsi subsystem the mid-level and the upper-level
driver changes are all being synchronized via Eric Youngdale
who seems to be having a "Linux free" weekend :-)
Hopefully this will be fixed shortly.
