I just got back from a trip away, updated my machine to 2.3.44. My
sound card (Creative Vibra 16 something or other) no longer works, it
worked fine under 2.3.42 (last 2.3 I tried).
At boot time, I got
--- isapnp: Scanning for Pnp cards... isapnp: Card 'Creative ViBRA16X PnP' isapnp: 1 Plug & Play card detected total ---I've attached /proc/isapnp.
When I try to modprobe sb, I get
--- Soundblaster audio driver Copyright (C) by Hannu Savolainen 1993-1996 sb_card: No ISAPnP cards found /lib/modules/2.3.44/misc/sb.o: init_module: Device or resource busy /lib/modules/2.3.44/misc/sb.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.3.44/misc/sb.o failed /lib/modules/2.3.44/misc/sb.o: insmod sb failed ---
I've also attached .config in case it matters, although it's mostly the same config as I used for 2.3.42 (just did make oldconfig). I've also attached /proc/dma and /proc/interrupts in case they're useful.
If I've forgotten any important information just let me know. Please CC me on replies as I'm not subscribed.
