xconfig in 2.3.49-pre2

When using make xconfig in 2.3.49-pre2 (x86), I'm getting:

[root@dragon linux]# make xconfig
rm -f include/asm
( cd include ; ln -sf asm-i386 asm)
make -C scripts kconfig.tk
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/linsrc/lin2349pre2/scripts'
cat header.tk >> ./kconfig.tk
./tkparse < ../arch/i386/config.in >> kconfig.tk
statement not in menu
make[1]: *** [kconfig.tk] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/linsrc/lin2349pre2/scripts'
make: *** [xconfig] Error 2

Is there a problem in arch/i386/config.in?
