2.2.14 File system corruption; EATA PM3334, SMP

From: David Morton (mortonda@osprey.net)
Date: Tue Mar 07 2000 - 12:13:02 EST

(This didn't seem to hit the list the first time I sent it; here's
another try)

First, I'd like to point to the September, 1999 archives of some similar
problems I was having...
Since those previous problems, I haven't wanted to reboot the
machine...

I just recompiled for 2.2.14, rebooted, and got the following errors.
The config file is below the errors;
after that, the startup messages of the 2.2.13 kernel that I'm using
(successfully). The good kernel that I'm using may have a different
config, though. In particular, I might have been using the "other" EATA
driver. I'm suspicious of the EATA drivers, but I'm not sure where to
start; and since this is a production box, I don't want to try very many
"errors" associated with "trial and error" :P
