2.2.15pre15 on a PIII works perfectly --- no problem till now.
2.3.99-pre2 on AMD does not power off the PC. Trying to investigate:
do I need a special version of shutdown? I tried to compile
util-linux-10f with no luck, will try again tomorrow.
