Resource allocation failure w/ PCMCIA 3c575 ethernet card

Whenever I insert my 3Com 3c575 PCMCIA Cardbus ethernet card into a
Thinkpad 240 running 2.3.99-pre3, I get the error "PCI: Failed to allocate
resource 0 for PCI device 8086:7192". The card works under 2.2.14.
