Yes, we should definitely do that. There are many ideas of memoryfses
and the one single point which makes them difficult and ugly is the
directory handling.
If we had a generic implementation, we would prevent a lot of code
duplication and a lot of badly designed in memory fs's (like the
directory handling of shm fs ;-/)
