Question: Gateway address == 0

Hi

Kernel refuses to set gateway address to one having zeroed host part (ADDR
& ~MASK == 0). I can't find any RFC that forbids it.

I can't find reason to such restriction, especially in "hacker driven" OS.
Any comments?
