I've never seen a 3c527 card. I was thinking more along the lines of the
way the adaptec scsi cards are listed. Specifics then aic7xxx for almost
all adaptec cards (or most that I've seen. The 2 exceptions for me is the
1542 isa and the 1740 eisa card)
