[-pre6-3] Oops on shutdown

Hey all!
I know this isn't of much use without the addresses
being resolved, but I wanted to send it out now
because I've got Real Work to do. If you don't get
the real version soon, harras me.

I'm getting this oops on shutdown, while attempting to
stop xfs-xtt (a X font server for TrueType fonts).
xfs-xtt is from the latest debian package in slink.

IIRC, this was happening only if the ppp modules were
loaded. I could not be recalling correctly, espechily
because they almost always are.

I was hoping it was related to the known devfs bugs in
-pre5, but apparently not. An older oops is available
if you want it. It's remarkably similar.

This is an athalon 750 on a gigabyte GA-7IXE board.
I'm using PPP and vfat. (Come to think of it, xfs-xtt
may have had files open on the vfat partition.
Shouldn't have, but might. I'll check when I return
from the Dark Side.) If you want more data, I'd be
happy to oblige.

There may be formatting changes, "writeo"s and typos
in the below, for which I appologise.
