Hi,
# CONFIG_MODVERSIONS is not set
I wasted^W spent some time recently with a module that
caused an Oops. I built the module without SMP support
(oversight, not on purpose) but my kernel is built
for SMP.
I finally (luckily) realized what the problem was (or at
least I guessed and then verified it).
Does CONFIG_MODVERSIONS help any with modules that are
built for SMP vs. UP kernels? Or could it? Would it
be useful? How much work to add it?
TIA.
~Randy
