yes, I understand and hence I didn't show the code yet - when it is ready
I will be delighted to know Alexander's (and everyone else kind enough to
review) opinion.

I want it to be generally useful - not just to my forced VFS umount
project but perhaps to be used by daemons who wish to hold no filesystem
resources whatsoever.. (so I chose to be slow and methodical instead of
supplying a patch today that has to be rewritten tomorrow).
