I have problems with the eepro100 driver on 2.3.99pre3.
When I first compiled the kernel, with egcs 1.1.2, the driver did not
exhibit any problems at all.

I later moved to gcc2.7.2.3 (from other reasons), and began to get the
following messages:

eth0: Trying to restart the transmitter...
NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
eth0: Transmit timed out: status 0050 0070 at 323442/323454 command
000c0000.

The init sequence:

eth0: Intel PCI EtherExpress Pro100 at 0xc8800000, 00:90:27:77:5E:F7, IRQ

Receiver lock-up bug exists -- enabling work-around.
Board assembly 721383-006, Physical connectors present: RJ45
Primary interface chip i82555 PHY #1.
  General self-test: passed.
  Serial sub-system self-test: passed.
  Internal registers self-test: passed.
  ROM checksum self-test: passed (0x04f4518b).

Is there any known bug with the driver and gcc2.7.2.3?

Thanks in advance,
Ariel Eizenberg
