Link freezing with AVM A1 (Fritz) (rev 2). ISDN card

I have a AVM A1 (Fritz) (rev 2). pci ISDN card (acording to /proc/pci).
I am using kernel 2.2.14-6.1.1 - that was until recently Redhat's latest
patch. I have a 128k link which is being controlled by diald and ibod.
Diald raises the first channel when the link is needed, and ibod raises
the second channel when more bandwidth is needed. Occasionally when the
second channel is brought down the link freezes, but the first channel
stays connected. This appears to happen in conditions of higher load on
the machine controlling the link. Is anyone else experiencing this
problem if so, do you know how can it solved?

Thanks in advance,
Nicholas Waltham
