pre9-2 bugreport: NFS client stuck in disk wait

The config: 2.3.99-pre9-pre2, Dual P-II w/ minimal IDE/NFS/NFS server
kernel configuration.

The problem is the same as observed and reported recently, though it
occurs with _much_ less frequency: when doing an mmap-heavy operation
over NFS (Netscape Mail compressing mail folders, for me), netscape gets
stuck in disk wait state. Other attempts to access files on the same
mount point ("cat ~/.bash_profile") similarly hang in disk wait.

This happened to me on pre9-1 and now pre9-2 as well.

Unfortunately it is not easily reproducable, and might be due to a race
which appears only on SMP boxes.
