Well that particular system was a year ago so I'm not sure, but it was
whatever compiler version came with Mandrake 6.0. That problem is probably
gone by now..

My current:

Linux version 2.2.16pre3 (root@translux) (gcc version 2.95.2 20000220 (Debian

system does have a stuck bash process though. From my earlier email:
