loadlin 1.6a and 2.4.0-test1 : Failure to boot

I tried booting the 2.4.0-test1 kernel
using loadlin 1.6a.
But the kernel failed to boot successfully.

Uncompressing the kernel ... booting the kernel...
message appeares, but
then the screen remained unchanged.
Nothing seems to happen.
Control+alt+del won't work.
Only power-on/off reset works.

>From the old postings to linux-kernel mailinsg list
I found out that somewhere between
2.3.20 and 2.3.21, the booting via loadlin 1.6a
got broken.
(I searched http://www.geocrawler.com/serach/...)

Has anyone successfully booted 2.4.0-test1 using loadlin 1.6a?
Are there special options to make it boot?

I suspect ram disk, and initrd problems have not been solved yet.

Happy Hacking
