  That's right, and we have already fixed the bug in the CVS version.

  I don't know how good the current technique the Linux kernel uses to
detect memory, but the one used by GRUB is now enough reliable, I
bet. And, as not all users have recent versions of Linux (e.g. I'm
still using 2.0.x in a server machine), I don't want to disable the
feature for now, even if Linux is now so clever.
