System Details
AMD K6-2 350 Mhz ,VIA MVP7598 (moterboard) ,32 MB SDRAM,
Cirrus Logic CLgd5465 (AGP), Yamaha (YMF 724 sound card),Seagate
ST34312A,
Logtech 3 button PS2 mouse.

I've installed REDHAT LINUX 6 on my system.

Problem
Sytem hangs abruptly with absolutely nothing working (one of the
keyboard light keeps
flickering) when I run KDE or GNOME and on the MOVEMENT of the mouseor
click
of a mouse withdisplay remaining as it was. None of the system loggers
or Magic Sysrq work.
I invariably have to run fsck . I 've tried many options with the video
card configuration
(XF86Config) unsuccessfully. I do not know whether it is the problem
with the motherboard
or video card or mouse.

There is no such problem when I use MS Windows 98.
Please see what can be done about this problem
