4 port ANA-6944A/TX was fine with Tulip driver version 0.9.4.3,
but no longer is with version 0.9.6. Symptoms: only eth0 works
fine, eth1 seems top be totally dead, eth2 barely works (ping
times for next machine vary from 0.5 ms to 2000+ ms within
three successive pings), lots of that stuff:

Jun 9 16:50:39 lech kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out
Jun 9 16:51:11 lech last message repeated 4 times
Jun 9 16:52:15 lech last message repeated 8 times
Jun 9 16:53:19 lech last message repeated 8 times
Jun 9 16:54:15 lech last message repeated 7 times

It's not necessarily this driver fault IRQs in new kernels seem to get
- assigned in a different way than it used to be (all ethXs used to share
the same IRQ while now they seem to get a different/separate IRQ each).
There's slso SMP ivolved, so...

SMP, ASUS P2B-DS (2 x PII-400, AIC-7890), 53C810a w/sym53c8xx driver,
2 x Matrox MilleniumII PCI, egcs-2.91.66. Details on request.
