Hello,
Two small patches attached. The first tries to avoid resetting video mode
if not needed, this removes flicker when switching consoles with the same
video mode. (at least on my monitor, which shuts video on sync loss)
The second restores cursor color to the default white color, this fixes
a problem with XFree86, which apparently forgets to restore hw cursor color
on exit.
I work with these patches some time and had no problems.
