RTFM:
        setterm -blank 0

Add this to your startup sequence together with:

        dmesg -n 8

And you will not miss a single kernel message on your console.

OTOH for a truly critical server there are far better solutions like
a serial or parallel console captured to a logfile on a seperate
system.
