I like your patch in general, but there is one thing which may cause a
small problem.
What i'm concerned about is that -- in try_to_free_buffers -- we start
too many writes at the same time to sync dirty buffers, causing
stalls.
Anyway, i'll try this patch and report results tomorrow.
