Mounting an ext2 filesystem on top of a cramfs root fs

Hello, I've been trying to mount an ext2 filesystem on top of a
cramfs-based root filesystem (2.4.0test1). I get this error:

ll_rw_block: device 03:41: only 1024-char blocks implemented (4096)

I have tried making the ext2 filesystem with options -b 4096 and -b 1024,
but the same error message occurs.

After I try mounting the ext2 filesystem (/etc), my cramfs root filesystem
is no longer accessable; i.e. / is _empty_.

Mounting an ext2 filesystem on top of cramfs is useful because the ext2
filesystem is easily modified.

Please carbon-copy a response to baitisj@cyberdude.com . Thank you.

-Jeff
