I did the following

copy old 2.2.14 aic7xxx scsii driver in 2.2.16
aic7xxx/
aic7xxx/sequencer.h
aic7xxx/scsi_message.h
aic7xxx/aic7xxx.reg
aic7xxx/aic7xxx.seq
aic7xxx.c
aic7xxx.h
aic7xxx_proc.c
aic7xxx_reg.h
aic7xxx_seq.c

and it is working :)

did'nt tried 2.2.15 maybe later
