Yes, FYI, debugfs fixed all my troubles. Though I would like to know _why_
that happened in the first place. And I am thanking whatever deity you
believe in that it didn't mess with something more important (fstab, inittab,
init scripts, passwd/shadow, etc. (no pun intended)).

All other partitions are on reiserfs now. I've still got to rig up a boot
disk and get / over.
