Alan,

Since this is a 2.2.x kernel it won't have my failsafe patches in it.

I have backported all patches I have made to 2.3/2.4 kernels and NTFS so
far into one 2.2.x patch. - If you want, I can send you the patch for
inclusion into 2.2.x.

I haven't tried to compile it though (I could do if you want that done
before submission) but it does apply cleanly and looks fine to me.

- The patch basically adds some docs in the help to say that the write
option is not compatible with Win2k.
- It also fixes a few bugs.
- And finally it checks the ntfs version and will not mount it read write
if it detects a win2k partition (if you are determined to kill your
partition you can then remount rw after a mount ro which I have left
allowed so I can experiment with it).

Do you want me to submit the patch to you?
