Hello All,

I have a query on UDP sockets on Linux.
I came to know that this mailing list is the
best place to clarify doubts on Linux.
If any one has answer please use my email id
rajesh.venkata@wipro.com in CC list , As I am
not the member of this mailing list.

On Linux, for UDP sockets, "recvfrom" is blocking
though I close the socket on which "recvfrom" is
blocking. I would like to know whether this is the
intended behaviour. If not, is there any way to
wake up "recvfrom" as soon as I close the socket.

I observed that On windows "recvfrom" comes out
immediately after closing the socket.

                     Awaiting your reply.

Thanks & Regards,
Rajesh.
