Actually I get other stuff than SeekError:

I've tried to boot it without ide0=ata66 and got the same result.
I've been running the system with ide0=ata66 without any problems.
Plus, I have this in the boot script:
/sbin/hdparm -c 1 -m 16 -d -X66 /dev/hda
/sbin/hdparm -S 50 /dev/hda
/sbin/hdparm -c 1 -m 16 -d -X66 /dev/hdc
I haven't seen any problems and I'm getting a nice 20MB/sec on /dev/hdc.
