BUG in buffer.c (2.4.0-test9-pre7); fsck problem

From: H. Peter Anvin (hpa@transmeta.com)
Date: Mon Oct 02 2000 - 02:14:38 EST

I got the following OOPSen running 2.4.0-test9-pre7; I hope it can be of
use for someone.

Also, this kernel has an odd problem: fsck sometimes gets stuck when
rebooting after crash. The drive light occationally flashes (not on
solid as it usually is!) but nothing seems to happen in the end. Booting
into a 2.2 kernel, fsck can make forward progress (usually nothing is
seriously wrong with the filesystem).

Anyway, the first and second oops are included with ksymoops; also a full
serial console transcript is included.

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution. If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.
