Another case where detecting duplicate IP addresses would be useful: this
machine was broken into yesterday morning, and reconfigured to take over
every IP address on the local subnet, then use all these addresses to
connect to Demon's IRCnet server. Detecting the duplicated IP addresses
and shouting about them would definitely have been welcome!
