I may have a new test tool but it is completely destructive the content on
the drives. It walks the drives and fills every sector with a unique
pattern and then you can read it back and checksum the contents.

It does destroy the content on the drive, this is no worse than a random
"File System Corruption " because it absolutely destroys or corrupts the
original content for testing purposes.
