"clock timer configuration lost" on ASUS A7A266

Hardware: ASUS A7A266 (ALiMAGiK chipset), AMD T-Bird 1.2 GHz
Kernel: 2.4.7-ac2

'dmesg' frequently reports:

probable hardware bug: clock timer configuration lost - probably a VIA686a motherboard.
probable hardware bug: restoring chip configuration.

Is this a known problem with this chipset as well? Of course, it is not
a VIA686a (or a VIA chipset, for that matter). Enclosed is the output
from lspci -vvv.

Thanks,

Mike.
