I recall there has been a complete patch set to make CML2 work with
Python 1.5.2, if the two (2) in "Python 2" is your concern. The archives
should tell us more.
(I'm not jumping into the other part of your mail on Python vs. Red Hat
configurator bugs because I don't know that particular tool and didn't
review its internal design.)
