2.4.19-pre5-ac3 patch creates x1 file?

FYI
When aplying Alan's 2.4.19-pre5-ac3 patch the patch creates an x1 file
in the top level directory of the kernel source. The contents of the file
appears to be Email containing a patch for the 2.5.X kernel.
