Wrong /proc/ide/hda/capacity with DVD-RAM ?!

Hi,

I'm wondering about the size of DVD-RAMs. My /proc/ide/hda/capacity
shows 8946816 blocks or 4.3GB with a 4.7GB medium. I found older
messages in this list with the same problem, but no solution and
no explanation.
