NET4: Linux TCP/IP 1.0 for NET4.0
IP Protocols: ICMP, UDP, TCP
IP: routing cache hash table of 4096 buckets, 32Kbytes
TCP: Hash tables configured (established 32768 bind 32768)
NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0/SMP for Linux NET4.0.
VFS: Insert root floppy disk to be loaded into RAM disk and press ENTER
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
Freeing unused kernel memory: 100k freed

That was the rescuedisk (compressed 1 disk image)
with the 5 install disks (wget
ftp://ftp.slackware.org/slackware/slackware-current/rootdisks/install.[1-5])
It gives:
RAMDISK: ext2 fs found at block 0
Loading 6464 blocks [5 disks] into ram disk
VFS: Insert disk #2 and press ENTER # It reads this disk in 0.5 secs or so?
Loading disk #2...
VFS: Insert disk #3 and press ENTER # It reads this disk in 0.5 secs or so?
Loading disk #2...
VFS: Insert disk #4 and press ENTER # It reads this disk in 0.5 secs or so?
Loading disk #2...
VFS: Insert disk #5 and press ENTER # It reads this disk in 0.5 secs or so?
Loading disk #2...
Then it boots and comes up with ext2 filesystem errors on directory #41.
Sometimes it starts actually reading at disk 3 or 4, but it never actually
reads disk 2... Most of the time it doesn't actually read any disk but 1
though (the floppy read LED does go on tho'). Since disk 2 is never loaded
it always comes up with the directory #41 ext2 fs errors.
