You should really update your BIOS. With this BIOS bug you can get basically random crashes on 64bit systems. The kernel tries
to work around them in the idle loop, but they can happen elsewhere
too.

I've checked the Acer site and there's no mention of a BIOS for the 1501LCe in the upgrades section. I guess their Phoenix 4.0 Release 6.0 is the only one to date.
