APIC error on CPU{0,1}: {40,02}({40,02})

Hi,

My kernel's putting these messages in the syslog, it seems like they're
harmless (everything works like a charm), just wanted to know what are
they about.

Currently running 2.6.7-ck5 on debian sid, but saw these messages with
earlier kernel releases, too (using 2.6 since 2.6.0-test11).

This is a dual athlon mp 2000+ box, with 1.5gig of RAM (.config.gz
attached).

Regards.
