I set the swappiness to 100 just to see what would happen (I usually use
0) and ran overnight, and got these swap-related latencies up to ~1.8
ms.

If I read the trace correctly the latency is in get_swap_page.

Also interesting, it's clear from this trace that call sequence the
timer ISR changed quite a bit from 2.6.11 to 2.6.12. I am really
impressed the kernel works so well given the current rate of change.
