1. Kernel 2.6.14.2 fails to locate and initiate sound card.

2. When loading kernel 2.6.14.2, the kernel fails to locate and
initialize the sound card. This worked fine in kernel 2.6.12.5. The
sound card has not been configured in kernels >2.6.13.

3. kernel, sound card, alsa, oss

4. Linux version 2.6.14.2.
