[PATCH][resend] Fix potential NULL pointer deref in gen_init_cpio

From: Jesper Juhl
Date: Thu Apr 13 2006 - 08:34:21 EST

(This patch was already send before on Mar 18, this is a resend)

Fix potential NULL pointer deref in gen_init_cpio.c spotted by
coverity checker.
This fixes coverity bug #86

Without this patch we risk dereferencing a NULL `type' in the
"if ('\n' == *type) {" line.
