Yes, wakelocks are more important than battery gauging... but they
need core support :-(; and they can wait, too.

Getting serial support & board-dream upstream are very good first
steps (thanks!). I'm currently trying to get 2.6.30 + your series of 3
+ framebuffer changes to boot.
