And I still don't think this is the issue.

Your patch removes two lines from drivers/staging/gma500/psb_drm.h with
the following diff:

@@ -28,9 +28,6 @@
 #include "drm_mode.h"
 #endif

Yet those #defines are not present in this file right now.  That's not a
whitespace change...
