I'd expect this to be del_timer_sync().

Overall I think this is quite complex, do we really need to keep
interrupts enabled (as in enable_irq) for wakeup to work? It is my
understanding that wakeup (enable_irq_wake/disable_irq_wake) control is
separate from enable_irq/disable_irq control. If you can do
disable_irq() while system goes to sleep then the code will be much
simpler.
