The patches in the git tree are "good", quilt went bonkers when it hit
odd-char-sets in the From: lines of some of the patches (normally I edit
them by hand and fix them up, this time I thought that quilt could
handle it.) I'll fix them up by hand again and make sure this doesn't
happen in the future, sorry about that.
