OOPS: Kernel 3.5.4-1.fc17.i686 freezes up when copying to CIFSmount

[1.] OOPS: Kernel 3.5.4-1.fc17.i686 freezes up when copying to CIFS mount
[2.] I yum updated to this kernel from Fedora. It froze up when I was backing up a some files to a
CIFS mounted Windows XP machine. It wasn't totally frozen as the MP3 player was still going.
I am able to see that the keyboard is active as Num Lock and Caps Lock still work.
