The current release has NO problem for my everyday use. I am very
happy :-). On another machine I am having some problems in using IPX
in dosemu (but I only tested a partial patch there & I cannot test the
full 1.3.8 until Monday). If the thing persists, I will contact the
dosemu people.
I have been asked to increase the number of times that each benchmark
is run. From now, I am running 20 instead of the default 6 loops (10
instead of 3 for the most time-consuming ones). It took 5 hours for
1.3.8! Luckily, I sleep longer than that.
I have also been asked to add a reference to a constant release,
preferably from 1.2. I have results for 1.2.10. I am now adding the
comparison with that particular release.
Also, I was asked where the benchmarks could be found. On my first
message, I erroneously pointed you to Sunsite. The sources for the
Byte benchmarks can be found on tsx-11:
