RZ1000 troubles????

Hello all

In a dutch computer magazine i read a story about a chip that is being used in
many Pentium motherboards. It seems that that chip, which is used to connect the
PCI-bus to the IDE-interface, when it simultaniously accesses the floppy and the
harddrive, loses part of the data of the harddrive.

The magazine said that the operating system can avoid these troubles, but among
the list of operating systems that suffer from this bug was Linux also.

My question is: is this problem already fixed, and has the computer magazine
used some old version, or is this problem new or being worked on?

If neccesary I can translate the text of the article so you can take a look at
it.
